What does the User Group do?

The Open User Group is a forum for users of Open GI Systems and Services to discuss issues and obtain help relating to their Open GI Systems.  In addition it represents the users in negotiations with Open GI, especially in the development of  software upgrades and new software products.

The main representative body is the National Committee to which as many as 13 Regional Chairmen are elected on an annual basis.  All elected members are also practising users of Open GI Systems and give their time and services on a completely voluntary basis.

Regional Chairmen hold regional meetings which may include software demonstrations, outside speakers and displays of products and services for the benefit of members. They also provide members with the opportunity to discuss system related issues and feedback from these meetings, plus regular Development group meetings, is passed to Open GI to assist in future product developments.

The User Group also issues a periodical electronic newsletter entitled Open Forum with interesting Topics, Hints, Tips and Points of interest with users providing an active contribution.
